Teeing up the MAM at TGL – Launching a MAM and a Golf League – simultaneously
At TMRW Sports, we needed to address the growing challenge of implementing a new MAM. Largely to deal with where to put the 20,000 assets but mainly to ensure we were able to reach the growing demand from launching a new sports league, TGL, across multiple broadcasting platforms.
Delivery required several key challenges to be met - all within 120 days!
Challenges and objectives:
- Metadata – there wasn’t any!
- User adoption – internal, external and multiple third parties.
- Change management – breaking down the silos.
- Streamlining – workflow had to be ready for the new league launch.
Hear how Chris Piatt, Manager, Media Asset at TMRW Sports went to work and delivered a MAM which was ready to hit the green running.
DAM’s Got Talent! Managing the Photo Delivery Process from End to End
A+E Networks operates in over 200 territories and in 41 languages, and our brands are some of the most recognizable across linear, digital and streaming platforms. Including A&E, The HISTORY Channel, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, and Vice TV.
To streamline our end-to-end workflow managing images and to better track and manage those assets in one location, we implemented a DAM that could combine both asset management and approvals capabilities.
We started by examining our workflow and evaluating the capabilities of the new system to support that workflow.
Our iterative process of review and development of the tool and our workflow continues to shape a more effective process for all stakeholders.
Covering:
- The process for assessing requirements for the new system.
- How we accomplished migration of millions of assets from our legacy systems.
- The photo team’s specialized workflow.
- Development of the customizable approval process.
- Delivery of photos approved for key art and promo materials.
- The roadmap for future improvements.
