Marijke is Ghanaian and Dutch and has a background in Fine Arts. She joined Europeana in 2016 and her focus is coordinating campaigns and co-chairing the Diversity and Inclusion cross-team.  

Alexandra Kron is a collection management, digital asset management, and digital preservation consultant specializing in cultural technology solutions. She has worked in the commercial and arts and culture sectors for and alongside museums as the Curator of Collections at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum, Digital Operations and Collections Information Analyst at Balboa Park Online Collaborative, Digital Preservation Lecturer for Johns Hopkins University’s Museum Studies and Digital Curation Programs, and now as the Community Manager for Terentia.

An art historian by academic training, Douglas has worked internationally in museums, art collections and archives for twenty years. He is a passionate advocate for open access to cultural heritage and his areas of expertise include digital collections management, copyright and licensing. At Europeana, Douglas leads a team working with international museum and educational partners to showcase their collections and engage online audiences with cultural heritage, digital storytelling and dynamic content marketing.

Alice Wang is the Director of Creative Operations for Walmart’s Creative team. She’s spent 13 years at Walmart building operational strategy and vision, and bringing in needed technology, scaling the creative and creative operations organizations, and making the grand vision of an omnichannel, omnicreative in-housing/agency hybrid model come to life.

Carlos Perez is a Senior Product Manager focused on product understanding and presentation at Zalando. In his career, he has worked as a creative in fashion content creation for high-end brands and magazines like Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. Carlos has also worked as a manager in e-commerce studio production, taught Photography in Spain and France, and is now a Product Manager at Zalando's Digital Experience team. Leveraging his past experiences, Carlos' expertise is a key factor when building new products.  

Margaret oversees photography of collection objects, digitization of analog photography, rights and reproductions, and the implementation of a digital asset management system.

Margaret previously worked in photographic and imaging services at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.  She began her professional career as the Slide Librarian at Southwestern University.  She holds an AA from Bard College at Simon’s Rock, a BAFA in Art History from the University of New Mexico, and an MS in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
