Selecting the Right DAM for the 2020s,
with Jarrod Gingras

DAM projects can fail for a variety of reasons, but nothing is more frustrating than a project doomed to fail from the outset because you chose the wrong DAM for your enterprise’s needs. In this series, we explore what is wrong with the traditional way of selecting DAM technology that often leads to bad choices. And we introduce a new, better way based on proven design thinking methodologies that will increase your chances of making the right choice.

Emma Perry is Head of BAFTA Tech, whose primary mission is to support BAFTA in building specialist software to deliver its key objectives. That includes nine awards and hundreds of events annually around the globe as well as scholarships, mentoring programmes and other high impact initiatives such as an international carbon calculator for the film and TV industries. Emma also leads on strategy to commercialise these products, raising revenue to feed back into BAFTA's charitable work.

Stephen is an engaging speaker who has been featured at many technology and graphic arts industry conferences around the world and is a visionary leader able to connect technology enablers to real business challenges a user-friendly way. As such, Stephen and his team manage roadmaps for Esko Packaging and Color – now incorporating brands including Pantone, X-Rite, WebCenter and Blue.

Erin is a Tokyo-based Creative Producer at Google Brand Studio APAC -- an award winning, in-house creative team at Google that develops brand communications for the APAC region.

Rhoda Boateng is Archives Supervisor at Black Cultural Archives. Founded in 1981, Black Cultural Archives is the only national heritage centre dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating the histories of African and Caribbean people in The UK. From their home in Brixton they run gallery exhibitions, educational programmes and public engagement events alongside providing free access to their unique set of archives, museum objects and reference library.
