Drivers of Demand: Trends in Occupier and Investment Thinking

Chris joined Avison Young in 2022 as an Associate Director following successful stints within agency departments in both Yorkshire and more recently, the Midlands. His career to date has spanned a range of sectors with a focus on Industrial property, through which he has acted on behalf of a wide variety of local and corporate clients.

His focus is predominantly on the freehold and leasehold disposal and acquisition of industrial property and land.

Tom is a specialist sustainability consultant advising both public and private sector clients across the ESG spectrum. He has over eight years of experience working on sustainability-related projects and in providing strategic ESG advice across the property lifecycle. Clients include both national and local level government, asset and portfolio managers, investor developers and occupiers. Tom regularly consults on built environment sustainability as part of a multi-disciplinary team across Avison Young to ensure client needs are met.

Lesley is a Director in Avison Young’s Market Intelligence team and is responsible for developing the firm’s research capabilities in the industrial, retail and leisure sectors as well as supporting the existing team’s track record of producing industry-leading analysis and insight.

The past matters because One: it has determined today’s stock of opportunities and Two: it contains valuable lessons of what proved to be the right decisions and what were not.

The present matters because this is the market in which decisions are made.

The future matters because that is where the outcome of decisions made today will prove to have been right or wrong – what we do must be possible in the present market and wanted in the markets yet to come.
