Richard has many years’ experience in advising on property matters and resolving property disputes. Prior to joining RLS Law, he worked at Lovells/Hogan Lovells and Mishcon de Reya, in the course of which he advised a varied range of institutional, corporate and entrepreneurial clients. 

Dilapidation claims are a contractual claim subject to a statutory cap. This session will focus on the often complex and grey areas, looking at many of the landlord and tenant rights and obligations.

Kevin Conibear is Head of Urban Markets at Fleurets, overseeing Fleurets' activity within town and city centres across the UK, working with clients throughout the urban leisure markets. Kevin specialises in negotiating on both leasehold and freehold sales and acquisitions, acting on behalf of corporate, emerging and private clients. He has an in depth knowledge of the in-town licensed markets, providing strategic advice to clients within these areas. Kevin also undertakes a degree of professional work on landlord and tenant and valuation matters.

Paul is a Director and Head of Fiscal Incentives at AECOM, joining the team in 1997. He is dual qualified in property and tax, with qualifications from both the RICS and Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). With twenty-five years’ experience, he has worked extensively across all commercial sectors in the UK as well as projects overseas. Working with a variety of clients, his specialisms include Capital Allowances planning, HM Revenue & Customs negotiations, Singapore and Malaysia tax depreciation consultancy, Risk Management and Renewable Energy.

Tom’s professional life focuses on the valuation of branded and high value hotel assets, investments, development sites and portfolios across the UK and mainland Europe. Originally qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor with BNP Paribas Tom worked for CBRE Hotels between 2006 and 2011. In 2011 he joined Christie & Co where he is now a director in the specialist hotel valuation and consultancy team.
